Panorama Hotel Review – Vilnius, Lithuania

Panorama Hotel in Vilnius, Lithuania, is the best place to stay because of its unbeatable location.  There are other features that make Panorama Hotel a great choice for your trip to Vilnius, but the location is what really gives this place the trophy for the most conveniently located hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

*This is a sponsored post, but as always, everything is based on my own experiences – all opinions are my own.*

Location😀 😀 😀 😀 😀PERFECT!

Panorama Hotel is located perfectly in every way.  To get there from the airport, just take one of the buses that says Stotis on top, which is the train station, Geležinkelio Stotis. It will only cost you one euro. 😀

It’s at the end of the route, and when you get off the bus, you’ll see that the hotel is across from the station.

Depending on which bus you take, you may or may not have to cross the street to get to the hotel, but if you have a hard time spotting it at night, just look for the McDonald’s.  It’s in front of the hotel, and there is an Iki grocery store just past the bus station about three minutes from the hotel on foot.

By the way, you have to take a day trip to Trakai and see the incredible medieval castle. 😀

Thanks, Google!

When you’re downtown and you need to get back to the hotel, just look for a bus or tram that is going to the Stotis, and there are quite a few of them.  It’s so easy and convenient.

Equally convenient about the Panorama Hotel’s location is how close it is to the Old Town. It’s only about five minutes (at the most) on foot to the Gates of Dawn and from there, you can easily wander all around the Old Town and the charming, provincial streets.  I began with the Gates of Dawn and from there, I went to the Republic of Uzupis, saw several famous landmarks and spots like the Bastion of the Defensive Wall, cathedrals, where the Jewish ghetto was during the Nazi period, Cathedral Square, and afterwards, the KGB Museum.  From there, I caught I bus that ended at the Stotis.

If you get a room on the top (fifth) floor like I did, you might get a great view like this out your window. ↓

The view from my window.

If you don’t get a room on the top floor like I did, you can go up and chill in front of the elevators on the big bean bags and enjoy the view of the Old Town out the full-length window, which is almost exactly the same as the great view I had from my window.

Comfort & Service😀 😀 😀 😀Excellent

You may find that my room was on the small side since there was little space, but it honestly didn’t bother me; after having stayed in several hotels in Japan, it was nothing new to me…lol! Space isn’t a concern for me; location is paramount, and the room was comfortable.

I have to say that the bed was extremely comfortable, and I actually slept like a baby.

The whole room was absolutely spotless, and it was nice that you’re able to open the windows.

The bathroom was small but spotless with plenty of towels.

What surprised me about not only this hotel, but about my whole trip to Lithuania was the number of people who speak English well.

Not only did all the hotel reception staff speak very good English, but they were happy to help me with all my questions about sightseeing and getting around.

You’ll be ready to head out once you have a hearty breakfast.  The breakfast buffet was great with the biggest variety/selection I’ve ever seen at a hotel, from deli meats, cheese, pastry, bread, yogurt, sausages, eggs, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea, and more.  If you’re not in the mood for breakfast food, you can have some hot dinner food, such as vegetables, beans, and rice.

In a nutshell…

You’ll be ready to trek all day after you’ve seen how close the Old Town is and once you’re rested and fed.  You can’t ask for more without breaking the bank. 😀
